WeiterlesenSeit mehr als sieben Jahren unterstützt Nadia's Initiative Überlebende des Völkermords an den Jesiden von 2014, indem sie ihren Stimmen Gehör verschafft und Bemühungen um Gerechtigkeit, Wiederherstellung und Heilung anführt.
Beginnend Anfang 2025 und mit Unterstützung von NI – einschließlich Verpflegung, Ausrüstung, Koordination und Nutzung des Frauenzentrums – exhumierte und dokumentierte die Direktion für Massengrabangelegenheiten mehr als ein Dutzend Einzel- und Massengräber.
Dies stellte einen bedeutenden Schritt in Richtung Aufarbeitung und Abschluss für viele jesidische Familien dar.

Die Veranstaltung führte zu unmittelbaren und greifbaren Ergebnissen, und viele Teilnehmer baten um ähnliche Gelegenheiten für künftiges Engagement. Das Frauenzentrum bietet nicht nur ganzheitliche Unterstützung für Frauen und Mädchen in der Region, sondern ist auch ein wichtiger Ort, an dem die Gemeinschaft Zugang zu wichtigen Ressourcen hat und Einblicke in dringende Probleme erhält, die ihr tägliches Leben betreffen.
